It can be challenging to face the responsibilities of implementing decisions inside and outside an immediate system. However, knowing how to manage “in times of crisis” is determinant to our success and growth. It implies:
- Focus and leverage existing capabilities and stimulate innovation.
- Focus on systems, skills, and culture.
- Promote high potentials from within.
- Shift the organizational mind-set from denial to awareness.
- Build alliance sideways to ensure better execution.
Two relevant skills are needed.
Self- Awareness: A conscious knowledge of your own character, feelings, motives, and desires is relevant. What is it really? To truly understand others, we must first start by understanding ourselves. The process can be challenging but it leads to great results.
Accountability: We must take accountability of the way we do things with intentionally chosen beliefs and behaviors. Being accountable develops trust.
